Bringing Sahaja Yoga meditation to the beautiful island of Jamaica August 19th - September 10th 2025
The founder of Sahaja Yoga, Shri Mataji, spent her life delivering a message of light and love to people across the globe.
She travelled constantly, to over 100 countries, providing free public meditation programs to unlock the potential inside every human being.
A Sahaja Yoga meditation tour last visited this beautiful island in 1999, with the blessings of Shri Mataji. The tour touched many people's hearts over the short period, and we were honoured to be invited to return again after all this time.
This upcoming three-week tour will visit both the North coast of the island, and also the capital Kingston, during the weeks between 19th August and 10th September 2025. We hope you can find the time to come along and see for yourself why Sahaja Yoga is one of the fastest growing free meditation practices in the world.
Tens of thousands of people from all walks of life now enjoy a richer, more balanced and joyful life simply by spending a few minutes each day focusing on their spiritual nourishment through meditation.
We live in turbulent times, and as a result our general levels of stress, depression and anxiety have skyrocketed. But there is an answer. Although meditation can't reduce the level of global trauma, it does give us the power to face it all, and enjoy a life free of fear.
The sessions teach the basic principles of how to meditate, how to diagnose your subtle system, and how to take action to restore your well-being using the power of mental silence.
Each session lasts for 90 minutes. During this time there will be a brief introduction into the principles of Sahaja Yoga, a quick guide to the subtle system and a practical interactive meditation for everyone to experience. If time permits there may be a short 10-minute video clip and a space for more detailed questions and answers.
Meditation is not a silver bullet, but if practiced diligently it can radically enhance our emotional stability, relationships and overall mental well-being. By devoting a little time every day to meditate in silence, we build up more inner resilience and so can take more control of our lives.
Absolutely. The public sessions are really just the start point of your individual journey of discovery. We strongly recommend everyone to continue meditating at home to get the full effects. There is a free app available to help with this.
Sahaja Yoga meditation is always free. The classes are funded by voluntary donations to the charity from around the world.

Sahaja Yoga meditation does not involve any form of physical activity as such. However there are times when the use of gentle physical movement can help, for example gentle breathing techniques.
There is no need to bring or wear any special clothes for a Sahaja Yoga meditation. Simply wear whatever is comfortable, and bring a genuine desire to nourish your spirit.
We would gently suggest that only children who are old enough to be comfortable with sitting quietly in a space should attend a meditation session. This is mostly to avoid any unnecessary disruption from children who are too young to understand or enjoy such a setting.
